Linking your PAN (Permanent Account Number) with your Aadhaar (Unique Identification Number) is mandatory as per the Income Tax Department's notification. The process to link PAN with Aadhaar is simple and can be done online through the Income Tax Department's e-filing portal. Here are the steps to follow:

 

A.    Visit the Income Tax Department's e-filing portal at https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/.

 

B.    Click on the "Link Aadhaar" option under the "Quick Links" section on the homepage.

 

C.    Enter your PAN, Aadhaar number, name as per Aadhaar, and the Captcha code.

 

D.    Click on the "Link Aadhaar" button.

 

If the details entered by you match with the details on your Aadhaar, your PAN will be linked with your Aadhaar successfully.

 

Alternatively, you can also link your PAN with your Aadhaar by sending an SMS to 567678 or 56161 in the following format: UIDPAN<SPACE><12-digit Aadhaar><SPACE><10-digit PAN>.

It is important to link your PAN with your Aadhaar before the deadline to avoid any penalties or fines.

आयकर विभाग की अधिसूचना के अनुसार अपने पैन (स्थायी खाता संख्या) को आधार (विशिष्ट पहचान संख्या) के साथ जोड़ना अनिवार्य है। पैन को आधार से लिंक करने की प्रक्रिया सरल है और इसे आयकर विभाग के ई-फाइलिंग पोर्टल के माध्यम से ऑनलाइन किया जा सकता है। यहां पालन करने के लिए चरण दिए गए हैं:
