 नवम्बर 1966 की घटनाएँ तब लगभग 20 मिनट तक अमेरिका में उल्का बरसात हुआ था उस बरसात में 23,000 उल्काएँ प्रति मिनट की दर से धरती पर गिर रही थी

  •  उल्का के टकराने से बना गड्डा

 अंटार्टिका में एक विशाल उल्का के टकराने से एक ऐसा गड्ढा बना जिसका व्यास 241 किमी था तथा गहराई 805 मीटर थी

  • सबसे अधिक समय का ग्रहण

अब तक एक वर्ष की अवधि में सबसे अधिक सूर्यग्रहण और चंद्रग्रहण सन् 1935 में रिकॉर्ड किए गए थे उस वर्ष पांच सूर्यग्रहण और दो चंद्रग्रहण लगे थे

  • प्लूटो

नवग्रहों में से प्लूटो ग्रह सबसे छोटा और सबसे ठंडा ग्रह माना जाता है

  • साइरस

साइरस नामक तारा सूर्य से भी अधिक चमकीला है वास्तव में इस तरह के बराबर कोई दूसरा चमकीला नहीं है

 हे ध्रुवतारा हमेशा ही उत्तरी दिशा में आकाश में एक ही स्थान पर दिखाई देता है इसका कारण यह है कि यह उत्तरी ध्रुव कि लगभग ठीक ऊपर है

 स्पेस शटल कार्यक्रम का मूल्य लगभग नौ अरब डॉलर है यह मूल्य धरती के प्रत्येक पुरुष स्त्री और बच्चे $2 खर्च करने के समतुल्य है एक नए स्पेस शटल यान का मूल्य $60,00,00,000 लगभग आती अभी तंत्रज्ञान बदल गया है तो स्पेस शटल का प्राइस ऊपर नीचे हो सकता है

  • सूर्य और चन्द्रमा पर वजन

60 किलोग्राम भार के एक व्यक्ति का भार चंद्रमा पर केवल 10 किलोग्राम होगा लेकिन सूर्य पर 1,680 किलोग्राम होगा इसका कारण ये है कि चंद्रमा पर धरती की तुलना में गुरुत्व बल छठवां भागे जबकि सूरज पर 28 गुना ज्यादा है.
